Ryan, The Boyd’s and the fighter‬ crew welcomed me with kindness and warmth last weekend as I joined them in a celebration of life for Michelle Boyd DeJong. Overlooking the Boston skyline atop an old granite quarry I quietly stood in a ballroom observing hundreds of people pour in. The scenery just outside the expansive window was breathtaking, but more astonishing than that was the evidence of Michelle living within each and every family, friend and fighter there. Through their adoration and appreciation for her, the strength and support they provide for each other, and their commitment to continue the fighter movement they are shinning examples of the message behind it, “Be the Good”

I am humbled, inspired and grateful to have experienced the powerful impact one exceptional woman had on this world and I know, as well as they do, this is simply another beginning. Thank you for including me in this journey and stay tuned for a future blog post with pictures from the event!
